BOSS

Hungarfen

Special Attacks

Underbog Mushroom – he randomly spawns these by the party; they will grow and release a Spore Cloud dealing about 360-540 Nature damage every 2 seconds and stacking up to 5 times while we are in it.

Foul Spores – when low on health Hungerfen roots himself releasing a poison cloud around him dealing about 500 shadow damage a second. Each time it damages a member of the party he is healed for 4x that damage dealt.

Strategy

We want our tank to grab Hungerfen in the middle of the room, this will allow our tank room to move when Hungerfen spawns his Underbog Mushrooms near the tank or uses his Foul Spores ability; it will also give the rest of us room to move about the room since avoid the Underbog Mushrooms poison is the key to winning this fight.

As with all mobs sharing the Hungerfen model he hits hard, but if we are able to stay aware to the U.Mushrooms and continually avoid the poison cloud our healers will have an easier time keeping the tank up. When he is low on health, about 20% he will use his Foul Spores that means all melee out including the main tank, it deals damage fast and heals him quite a bit, I have seen it bring him all the way back to over 60% health.

Avoid the U.Mushrooms and his Foul Spores and you will be /randoming his loot in no time.

Ghaz'an

Special Attacks

Acid Spit – a wide cone attack from the front dealing 2000-2500 damage.

Enrage – Enrages at 20% health.

Tail Sweep - does a tail sweep similar to Onyxia with a small knock back effect and inflicting about 450-800 damage.

Acid Breath – 155 Nature damage inflicted every 3 seconds, can not be removed and stacks up to 4 times.

Strategy

Our tank should take a 20 yard or so lead on engaging Ghaz’an and spin him so he is side is exposed to the party, this will help to avoid any others to be hit with his Acid Spit and avoid the Tail Sweep altogether. Our tank should be aware that additional spinning may be required if the party continues to get hit by his Acid Spit as it is an enormous cone.

The tank will be afflicted with Acid Breath, at first the damage is not bad but additional healing may be required. Watch for 20% health when Ghaz’an enrages and be ready to throw some extra healing in the direction of the tank.

Swamplord Musel'ek

Swamplord Special Attacks

Multi Shot – Musel’ek will shoot multiple party members for 2000-2500 arcane damage.

Aimed Shot – about 2000 physical damage.

Raptor Strike – about +500 damage from his regular melee attack.

Freezing Trap – Freezes entire party for 3 seconds making them unable to do anything.

Claw Special Attacks

Echoing Roar – small range shout reducing armor by 75%.

Strategy

There will be some debate on whom to dps down first, and we may come to a different conclusion based on what classes we have present, here is the basic deal:

Claw Nasty armor reduction, heavy armor, and will turn into friendly druid at 5-10% health (but will not help fight Musel’ek).

Swamplord Musel’ek Can deal a lot of damage quickly, less armor and dies slightly faster then Claw.

It really does matter little which you take out first, ideally we will have another class capable of tanking or perhaps a pet to keep one of them busy. If we do then keep Claw away from whomever tanks the Swamplord because of his armor reducing shout can make the Swamplord’s attacks much more deadly; if not the tank will have to hold both of their agro. If we can manage to spread apart or even some behind Swamplord and some in front or to his side, reducing how many party members his Multi Shot hits can reduce the heal load for our healer. As for Claw it’s a basic tank and spank.

Not much to this fight, the Swamplord will often Aimed Shot after he drops a Freezing trap but it is a pretty basic fight.

The Black Stalker

Special Attacks

Chain Lightning

Levitate – randomly targeted, lifting a party member up and away from The Black Stalker.

Static Charge – Debuff that can not be removed, periodically deals 750 Nature damage to self and nearby allies.

Strategy

The Black Stalker can be a tremendous pain in the rear especially with the random nature of his Levitate skill; it is however important to note that spells can still be cast in this state if the range requirements are met.

Depending on our party set up it can be helpful to have the tank pull The Black Stalker away from the rest of the party to reduce the number of targets hit by his Chain Lightning. If we are short healers it may be a good idea when the main healer is lifted for our tank to run towards where they were lifted to stay in range for healing.

In extreme cases of healer’s mana shortage the party member afflicted with Static Charge may quarantine themselves away from the rest of the party.
